Neural networks for state detection of batteries
The aim of the project is to develop and evaluate a fully integrated ‘SensorDemonstrator-Module’. By equipping the module with optical sensor technology and implementing the optical sensor values and the AI-based models in the battery management system (BMS), it is intended to enable early detection of degradation processes that can lead to cell failure and, in the worst case, thermal runaway.
